Stars

I tried to copy a runwaylook. I failed at finding a matching purse. (And I hate hats, so I didn't look for a hat, haha)
(And damn, ties are expensive! I mean 2cm of fabric for €20,-?)
Topshop, WE (man), H&M (man), H&M, Zara, Vila (Via Wehkamp), Manfield.

I realized I actualy liked the tacky, boyish, 80-ish, snooker-ish collection of Dolce&Gabanna fw'11. I wish brogues looked cool on me.

I need new shoes, what kind of shoes should I buy?

Leather, Nutella and a new header.

Another 'NEED!' this fall: Leather, and particularly a leather skirt.
Tomboy-vintage-y on the left, Buisiness-ladylike on the right.

I'll just type the recipe here.
Makes 8-10 Cake Roll Lady Finger Nutella Muffins.
  • 3 Eggs
  • 65g Sugar
  • 80g Cake flour
  • 20g Butter, melted
  • 40g Nutella
  • 9 30g Melted chocolate
  • 2-3 Drops vanilla extract
  • 35-50 lady fingers
  • 30-100g melted chocolate
  • Whipped cream

The cake
Sift cake flour and put baking parchment on a baking tray, ±25x30cm (Or even better; a Swiss roll tray).
Mix eggs and sugar for 7-10mins, make sure there are no air-bubbles in it anymore.
Add baking powder in three separate additions, use a spatula. Don’t deflate the batter.
Add melted butter and vanilla extract, fold with the spatula until it’s well blended.
Bake for 10-15mins, make sure the batter won’t get too dry. Use a skewer to check if the cake is done. If it comes out clean, your cake is good.
Remove the sponge cake from the tray, keep the parchment underneath the cake.
Cover the sponge cake with a towel or a plastic bag to keep it moist and let it cool down.
Remove the parchment and put the cake on a new parchment, putting the side with the ‘crust’ down. Spread with 40gNutella, or 30gmelted chocolate.
Roll the cake by lifting up the parchment, Place the rolled cake seam-side down.

The lay-out. (You can also buy a ready-to-eat cake roll and save tons of time.)
Slice the cake in pieces of ±3cm. And put one of them on a clean piece of baking parchment.
Melt the chocolate and dip ½ of the lady fingers in it. Use the rest of the melted chocolate to spread the outside of the cake roll and place the lady fingers against it.
Use a spatula to remove the cake with the lady fingers from the parchment, so the chocolate spill that comes dripping underneath the lady fingers won’t come with the cake. Serve with Whipped cream, ice cream or leftover melted chocolate on top.

And for the banner, I used:
A: Camilla Skovgaard heels, Miu Miu boots, Cutler and Gross glasses, Nixon watch.
D: Givenchy heels, Marni broche, Isabel Marant feather earrings, Monica Vinader earrings.
H: Miu Miu belt, Alexander Wang boots, YSL earrings, Tory Burch flats.

I hope you like it.

H&M Nailpolish (€0,95), skirt (€14,95) and make-up bag (€1,95). (it's transperant, so those ligther bananas/leaves are lighter, 'cause they're on the other side)
C&A Bikini bottom (€9,00) (Hey, Spongebob's city is named Bikini Bottom, never noticed that befrore xD) and Bikini top (€7,00).

And some Woo's I hadn't posted yet.

Roses are Red, Violets are Blue

And I've got no idea how it ends in English.
Haha.

This windy morning I tried to create a couture-y look, but it looks like a toothfairy-costume. 'She just needs a wand.' (Like some judge at Project Runway once said.)
And she looks like she has just swallowed a sock or something.
I'm going to try to draw a real, black-tie gown this afternoon.
And of course, today's WOO.
(I make two outfits for one day, because my computer gets nuts of me saving like a 1000 png's)

And a new lay-out, which I hope you like.
I haven't decided if I like it yet.

Saturdays

Most of the time I read 'Saturndays'
Also amazing.

Anyways, a new WOO.

The sources are aboce. Simple outfits with an cardigan I'm obsessed with atm.

And, the new Vuitton ad, shot by Steven Meisel.
Daphne and Anaïs
Gertrude and Zuzanna
It's so wrong it's right.

That was my day, folkies.

Brights

A New WOO. Classy Chanel-inspired and a onepiece.
You know you can get the sources here.

And stunning Eniko in Vogue Italia, shot by Greg Kadel.
This is why I love Eniko, no matter what you put on her face, she's still extremely beautiful.

And Milou van Groesen in i-D, shot by Richard Bush.

Happy 200'th post!

Today I made Ibe a banner:

I created a new WOO.
 LtR, UtD: Source, Source, Source
And two outfits I created with them.

And a HILARIOUS (Well, in my eyes) Gif:
I would love to know the creator.

IT'S MONDAY

And I hate Mondays...
WOO.
Sources in an other post...

(WHY AREN'T THEY MOVING ANYMORE!? I HATE BLOGGER.)

And this top has a strange magnet-power to me.

3.1 Phillip Lim's midnight-blue satin peplum top is a lesson in easy sophistication. Be inspired by the layered runway styling and team it with a wrap-effect skirt and peep-toe ankle boots. Shown here with an Eddie Borgo bracelet, Bottega Veneta boots, Daisy Knights ring and a 3.1Phillip Lim top and skirt.

TRIANGLE

▲ Yep, that's a triangle.
You know food-pyramids, right? I made a 'life' pyramid.
But then a little diffrent.
The bottom row is the "YUGH, KILLS ME" row.
The row above that one is the "YUGH IT NEARLY KILLS ME" row.
Above that row we've got the "HMM. IRENE LIKES"row.
And on top we've got the "HEAVEN"
LtR,UtD:
(McDonalds)Icecream, Money, Forks (Which moron invented knifes, spoons and etiquettes? Forks are all you need, folks...), (Givenchy)FASHION, Internet.
Autumn, (Frida Kahlo)Art, Chinese Food, Tea, Pancakes, (Eatable)Apples, Nailpolish.
Wet leafs (Who invented that, it feels so gross on your skin), (Sushi)Fish: My tummy can't handle fish, People-Who-Use-Basic-Smileys, Caterpillars (I mean: What use do they have, they are weird. If there would be a school for insects, the caterpillar got bullied. Of course I know it turns into a butterfly, but couldn't the butterfly skip the entire caterpillar-being?), Perfume (Most people wear too much of it), Andy Warhol (Of course I understand he was/is very important for art, but I think he's doing what I'm doing: Using pictures that do already excist and editing them, and he was calling it 'art'), Nailpolishremover (Put it on your skin: IT BURNS!!!), English liquorice.
School (No explenations needed), Maths (Oh, miracle!), Lipgloss (It feels like there's bad pudding stuck to your lips), ASPERGES (The taste, the smell, the structure, the colour!), (HipHop)Caps, Alarm clocks (Especially at 07:05), Bright colours, Twitter (I mean, can you say what you want in 140 symbols? No way.)
If you read all of that, I love you.

Today's WOO.
It's actually getting hard enough to use a skirt as a top.

I Hate Stripes...

Actually, I don't, but my new Week.Of.Outfits (Which is too long to write, so it'll be WOO) is annoyingly difficult.
And two drawings I made:

(Drawed in Real Life, coloured with Gimp.)

(My take on Prada Fall2011, Miu Miu Fall2011, Daphne G. Backstage at Versace Summer2011 (But she doesn't look like Daphne at all...)

Thursday, April 14

Munch, munch.

I like the sound that word makes...
First of all: My favorite bags this season.
The cheapes is "just" €650,00, the most expensive €2.200,00.
(And the smalles one is the most expensive...)

And a new week of outfits.
Which I think is going to be really hard.
Topshop, Topshop, Topshop,
Topshop, Topshop, YSL, Miu Miu.

The first outfit and I already got stuck.

It's too simple. But combinating all those stripes is hard...

Wednesday, April 13

Hanne Gaby Odiele

Love that lass.
Not an outfit she would wear, but an outfit inspired by her.

And an extra outfit, tomorrow I'll start with another closet, that is harder than this one.

Sunday, March 20

I might be going nuts.

Making a beachwear post.
I hate swimming, I hate bikini-fotoshoots, I hate the sea, I don't like the sun.
But I like searching for cool clothes. These six were the most awesome bikinis/bathingsuits I could find.
But I can't think of anyone who would pay €665,00 for a bathingsuit.
If I'm in desperate need of swimwear (Which I won't be because I'm not going to swim) I would buy the HEMA one. Or the Lanvin one. Haha!

Blasphemy

Today I made a high-fashion versus streetstyle thingy again.
Take a look and think out loud: "OMG."
With streetstyle total not even close to the high-fashion average, I think those high-fashion things should have a quality that should get through a nucleair war.

Some prices aren't completely correct, because they were USD or EP.

Thursday, January 13

Reindeer hunting.

Hmm, animal-hunting-title again.
No offence to our furry friends.
And a new model. Do you like her?

Lmao:
Those mini-models-with-big-bags-shoots always make me laugh.
Love Nimue Smit and Lindsey Wixson for Mulberry ss"11.
(Do you think Nimue looks helpless?)

*Gets a stroke*

Okay, I wanted to do a Streetwear versus designer post.
This is what I came up with. I hoped to comfort myself with the thought the designeroutfit would cost the double. But it's 18.24 times as expensive. Do not drop any food on your partyoutfit.

*I know the pieces aren't copies of each other, but the clothing has the same effect.

Streetwear: Necklace, dress, shoes, gloves, panty.

Wich outfit do you prefer?
