Old Bread Isn't Bad.

Crappy title. Sorry for not posting a couple of days, I had plenty of ideas but when I tried to 'put them on paper' they seemed really weird and ugly and they didn't turn out the way I wanted them to.

A couple of days ago, we ate french toast for lunch, and it inspired me to do some sort of french-toast-bavarois, but I couldn't find nice pictures of french toast and a glass, so I decided to draw it all myself. This is the result:
I know the roasted marshmallow looks poisonous, but everybody knows that a good marshmallow looks like a freaking mushroom. (:
I hope the recipe is clear, though.

And the amount of hairy fashion is getting on my nerves. Every time you watch tv you see spots about woman being happy a product removed the hair from their legs/armpits/downunder, and then fashion gives them all the hair back. I don't get it. The only thing furry should be a fur coat.
Miu Miu Miu Miu, Via.
It looks like an icebear-cow combination.

(iPad case made out of rabbit. Am I the only one thinking this is hi-la-ri-ous?)

€363,27 for a kitty-dressup-kit.
Maison Martin Margiela Maison Martin Margiela, Via.
Looks like his wig-coat, but then a little less freaky. It still looks like hair though.

But it's warm, and I guess that's what count because this fall there were a lot of bare legs on the runway, I think those people need a furry overdose to compensate or something.

Sweet Honey.

An outfit I made up, inspired by a painting in the Groninger Museum.

And I was too stupid to write down the name of the artist. Sorry artist.
And you can guess which fall'11 show inspired the shape of the dress.

And I made a new BBQedible. (I decided to call it that way because it's perfect for eating outside, but it's no 'real food')

Leather, Nutella and a new header.

Another 'NEED!' this fall: Leather, and particularly a leather skirt.
Tomboy-vintage-y on the left, Buisiness-ladylike on the right.

I'll just type the recipe here.
Makes 8-10 Cake Roll Lady Finger Nutella Muffins.
  • 3 Eggs
  • 65g Sugar
  • 80g Cake flour
  • 20g Butter, melted
  • 40g Nutella
  • 9 30g Melted chocolate
  • 2-3 Drops vanilla extract
  • 35-50 lady fingers
  • 30-100g melted chocolate
  • Whipped cream

The cake
Sift cake flour and put baking parchment on a baking tray, ±25x30cm (Or even better; a Swiss roll tray).
Mix eggs and sugar for 7-10mins, make sure there are no air-bubbles in it anymore.
Add baking powder in three separate additions, use a spatula. Don’t deflate the batter.
Add melted butter and vanilla extract, fold with the spatula until it’s well blended.
Bake for 10-15mins, make sure the batter won’t get too dry. Use a skewer to check if the cake is done. If it comes out clean, your cake is good.
Remove the sponge cake from the tray, keep the parchment underneath the cake.
Cover the sponge cake with a towel or a plastic bag to keep it moist and let it cool down.
Remove the parchment and put the cake on a new parchment, putting the side with the ‘crust’ down. Spread with 40gNutella, or 30gmelted chocolate.
Roll the cake by lifting up the parchment, Place the rolled cake seam-side down.

The lay-out. (You can also buy a ready-to-eat cake roll and save tons of time.)
Slice the cake in pieces of ±3cm. And put one of them on a clean piece of baking parchment.
Melt the chocolate and dip ½ of the lady fingers in it. Use the rest of the melted chocolate to spread the outside of the cake roll and place the lady fingers against it.
Use a spatula to remove the cake with the lady fingers from the parchment, so the chocolate spill that comes dripping underneath the lady fingers won’t come with the cake. Serve with Whipped cream, ice cream or leftover melted chocolate on top.

And for the banner, I used:
A: Camilla Skovgaard heels, Miu Miu boots, Cutler and Gross glasses, Nixon watch.
D: Givenchy heels, Marni broche, Isabel Marant feather earrings, Monica Vinader earrings.
H: Miu Miu belt, Alexander Wang boots, YSL earrings, Tory Burch flats.

I hope you like it.

Tiny Homemade Skinny McFlurry Cornetto Forestfruit Sorbet & Models

Because McFlurries are damn delicious but way too big.
This one is fatter per 100g because I used a ton of chocolate I guess. Whatever.

"Ultimate model"
Adding more bodyparts looked even scarier.

I went shopping today and the only thing I bought was coconut-taste-tea. I saw an incredible coat, which was €119,99. F-word.

The Italian Job.

By a Dutchman.
I though I should create a pizza with diffrent ingredients, but it turned out as a normal Margerita with a diffrent base. Whatever. I did also made a gif from it.
Wikipedia's words about 'ontbijtkoek'.

Hmm, Didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. Whatever.

And to keep the fashion in my blog, wear it with these:
Monica Vinader Monica Vinader
Monica Vinander earrings via net-a-porter.
(Dutch because of the simple colours and the Dutch-sky-coloured gem in the middle, Italian because it reminds me of Fendi's 'Palazzo')
D&G D&G
D&G jeans via net-a-porter.
(Italian because, well, you know, D&G, €210,93 for jeans, arrogant chic (Which isn't an insult because i love it). Dutch because 99,99% of all Dutch woman wear denim 24/7.) And I find the colour of the denmin combine well with the colours of my mini pizza.
Etro Etro
(Italian because of the print that reminds me of cubistic stracciatella ice cream, Dutch because Dutch woman like patterns with little color.) And don't you just love the genous print? I first thought it was some kind of zig-zag, but it are rectangles!
Marni - LACKLEDER WEDGES - mytheresa.com GmbH Marni - LACKLEDER WEDGES - mytheresa.com GmbH Marni - LACKLEDER WEDGES - mytheresa.com GmbH
Marni heels via mytheresa.
(Italian because it's the color of Spaghetti-bolognaise-sauce, and it's Marni, Dutch because they're a little clog-like and have flowy lines, like water.)

Btw: Yell an ingredient at me and I'll try to make something out of it.

Lighten up.

I decided to try to make a low-calorie snack.
Of course, low calorie things mostly are ant-sized, but mines is the size of a butterfly.
Catchy name, huh?

I would suggest wearing this while eating it:

Mush.

I decided to try to make two recipes with almost the same ingredients, but a diffrent effect.
Just sayin': I didn't make these things myself, so I have no idea how long you actually have to bake the 'cake', but I search on Google for similar doughs and fillings.

And a 'gift' I made for a  friend's birthday, Friday the 8th.
'Gefeliciteerd'=Congratulations.
It were cupcakes, with money as the actual cakes.

Post #x

Last night, I made Sunday's post, with some help of my dad.
Thanks, mom for cutting the cute napkin.
I used white chocolate, because one of my friends prefers white over milk.
With white chocolate the diffrence in taste between the dough and the chocolate is a little bit too small, but I still liked it. (And I used cherries instead of strawberries because the strawberries were like €300,- per 100g)
And it was really difficult to put the chocolate on, so I recomend rolling the balls with flour on your hands, and then rolling them through the melted chocolate.

And today I went shopping again, bought these and coudln't find images of them online, again.

H&M nailpolish and dress. €0,95, €10,00
ONLY dress. (Here it looks a little boring, but in RL it has a facinating sporty back with a zipper, yay!) €19,95
Six scarf (Those little figures are swallows) €4,00

Your Soft Side Is Irresistable...

Catchy name for a recipe.
Tips: Do not use eggs for the dough and use a small pan to melt the chocolate au bain-marie, or you won't be able to drown you treat.

On This Warm Day...

Yugh, I'm so tired and a week filled with tests is coming. Eeek!
I decided to make a simple dinner.
Mai Tai. Yes, simple, but summer-y.

(Add those green things nobody likes to make it look more real)

And again, add those green things nobody likes to make it look more expensive.

Bon Appetit.

Eat Your Heart Out.

I tried to make a real-real recipe, incluiding the baking temperature and some real ingredients. I've got no Ide if this works, but I googled for recipes with cake with stuff in it and then thought about it. I guess you'll just have to check the oven a 1000 times to be sure your cake isn't going to explode/turn into a zombie.

Wrapup.

Oh my, I'm such a bad blogger.
I'm just tired and not feeling like doing a thing. And I'm still disappointed by the fall collections, so there isn't much fashion in me.
I'll tell you 'bout my week.
Well, this was last, last week actually, I made this for a friend. The text says 'Congratulations, name' And it are all pieces of chocolate. And underneath it is also chocolate.

And I went shopping with my aunt, buying this bag, it's plastic, but it's square-ish and it feels nice and I like the top. (It forms like a cylinder, omg I love that word.) And it was cheap (: Sorry for the bad quality.

And I drolled over these:
Reed Krakoff Reed Krakoff Reed Krakoff
By Reed Krakoff. I think he's going to be one of my favorite designers.
I just love the quirky simplicity.

And I made a new meal. I'm sorry for being more into 'creating' food than I'm into fashion atm. I'm so stubborn for letting one season ruin my fashion appetite.
And I fell in love with this Givenchy ad.
Jaquelyn Jablonski, pthotgraphed by Willy Vanderperre. I don't really like the model, or the way the advertorial is looking, I like the composition of the make-up, the basic typefront and the colours in the picture. The striking dark blue VS the soft pink, bloodred and vanilla-ish yellow.

Oh, and I've got a new floor (As you can see in the bag-picture) and new walls and two new lamps and I love it. (:

I'll try to post more, I promise!

Something Dinner-y

Yes, I did it. Something you actually have to cook.
And I did something with spaghetti, as requested by Stephanie.
I hope you like it. Because, well, the recipe is simple, and not verry original, but I liked the idea of spaghetti meets cheese meets egg meets veggies.
And wrap some of the left-over spaghetti around your omelette to make it look less Monday-y, and more sunday-y.
Oh, and I was tired because of Pfeiffer's disease, but I'm doing well at the moment.
Off to my aunt for the weekend ♥

Titleless

Those letters make a nice combination.
Sorry for not posting for a long time, again.
I'm just way too tired ):
