Fall's Favorites.

My favorite fall 2011 advertorials, in no particular order.
Ondria Hardin ♥,  Dorte Limkilde (And some others, not in these shots), shot by Meisel.
Prada, because it makes me want to dress up in a coat, wear my sunglasses and move in slowmotion.

Carola Remer, shot by Inez & Vinoodh.
Ports 1961, because Carola is perfect and it makes me wish I lookd this great in mature clothes.

Mariacarla Boscono (And others, not in these pictures), shot by Mert & Marcus.
Givenchy because these pictures confirmed the fact that I like the combination of Asia&Europe (Like Chinese food, just 500m from your house. Lovely.)
And of course, because these images are so 'fierce'.
Juju Ivanyuk, shot by Cedric Buchet.
Elie Saab because I love to-the-neck splits, and Juju shows us the only right way to live in a dress with this feature.
Arizona Muse, shot by Glen Luchford.
Alberta Ferretti because when I trip I never look this classy.

Daria Strokaus (And others, not in these pictures), shot by Willy Vanderperre.
Jil Sander because the pattern on the jumper is mesmerizing. No other words appropriate.

Aline Weber, shot by Alasdair McLellan.
Derek Lam because it's a little kitchy and it makes me want to walk in a really clean city, wearing a wool coat, perfect pantalon and ankleboots like in Derek's show. Inspiring.

Which shows and prints did you like?

Leather, Nutella and a new header.

Another 'NEED!' this fall: Leather, and particularly a leather skirt.
Tomboy-vintage-y on the left, Buisiness-ladylike on the right.

I'll just type the recipe here.
Makes 8-10 Cake Roll Lady Finger Nutella Muffins.
  • 3 Eggs
  • 65g Sugar
  • 80g Cake flour
  • 20g Butter, melted
  • 40g Nutella
  • 9 30g Melted chocolate
  • 2-3 Drops vanilla extract
  • 35-50 lady fingers
  • 30-100g melted chocolate
  • Whipped cream

The cake
Sift cake flour and put baking parchment on a baking tray, ±25x30cm (Or even better; a Swiss roll tray).
Mix eggs and sugar for 7-10mins, make sure there are no air-bubbles in it anymore.
Add baking powder in three separate additions, use a spatula. Don’t deflate the batter.
Add melted butter and vanilla extract, fold with the spatula until it’s well blended.
Bake for 10-15mins, make sure the batter won’t get too dry. Use a skewer to check if the cake is done. If it comes out clean, your cake is good.
Remove the sponge cake from the tray, keep the parchment underneath the cake.
Cover the sponge cake with a towel or a plastic bag to keep it moist and let it cool down.
Remove the parchment and put the cake on a new parchment, putting the side with the ‘crust’ down. Spread with 40gNutella, or 30gmelted chocolate.
Roll the cake by lifting up the parchment, Place the rolled cake seam-side down.

The lay-out. (You can also buy a ready-to-eat cake roll and save tons of time.)
Slice the cake in pieces of ±3cm. And put one of them on a clean piece of baking parchment.
Melt the chocolate and dip ½ of the lady fingers in it. Use the rest of the melted chocolate to spread the outside of the cake roll and place the lady fingers against it.
Use a spatula to remove the cake with the lady fingers from the parchment, so the chocolate spill that comes dripping underneath the lady fingers won’t come with the cake. Serve with Whipped cream, ice cream or leftover melted chocolate on top.

And for the banner, I used:
A: Camilla Skovgaard heels, Miu Miu boots, Cutler and Gross glasses, Nixon watch.
D: Givenchy heels, Marni broche, Isabel Marant feather earrings, Monica Vinader earrings.
H: Miu Miu belt, Alexander Wang boots, YSL earrings, Tory Burch flats.

I hope you like it.

... The best a Men can get.

Givenchy ss'12 Men's show.
I tried to draw a woman's outfit by looking at the men's outfits. But well, Givenchy always makes female-models walk the men's shows, so I could already see a little bit. But whatever. Created my own kind of Givenchy. (Around 1000Worse then Ricardo's)
I don't know men who walk around in skirts, mint-coloured suits and flowerprints, but I liked the colours of this collection.

Looks ridiculous.

FAVES.

At This Moment.
Not really because of this fall's season, but more like an over-all look at the collections I've seen.

And you know my obsession for Prada, but I feel so 'normal' when I say one of the most famous brands is one of my favorites...

Wrapup.

Oh my, I'm such a bad blogger.
I'm just tired and not feeling like doing a thing. And I'm still disappointed by the fall collections, so there isn't much fashion in me.
I'll tell you 'bout my week.
Well, this was last, last week actually, I made this for a friend. The text says 'Congratulations, name' And it are all pieces of chocolate. And underneath it is also chocolate.

And I went shopping with my aunt, buying this bag, it's plastic, but it's square-ish and it feels nice and I like the top. (It forms like a cylinder, omg I love that word.) And it was cheap (: Sorry for the bad quality.

And I drolled over these:
Reed Krakoff Reed Krakoff Reed Krakoff
By Reed Krakoff. I think he's going to be one of my favorite designers.
I just love the quirky simplicity.

And I made a new meal. I'm sorry for being more into 'creating' food than I'm into fashion atm. I'm so stubborn for letting one season ruin my fashion appetite.
And I fell in love with this Givenchy ad.
Jaquelyn Jablonski, pthotgraphed by Willy Vanderperre. I don't really like the model, or the way the advertorial is looking, I like the composition of the make-up, the basic typefront and the colours in the picture. The striking dark blue VS the soft pink, bloodred and vanilla-ish yellow.

Oh, and I've got a new floor (As you can see in the bag-picture) and new walls and two new lamps and I love it. (:

I'll try to post more, I promise!

That Versace bag is by far the cutest bag on earth/in the universe. I just want it in petrol O:

TRIANGLE

▲ Yep, that's a triangle.
You know food-pyramids, right? I made a 'life' pyramid.
But then a little diffrent.
The bottom row is the "YUGH, KILLS ME" row.
The row above that one is the "YUGH IT NEARLY KILLS ME" row.
Above that row we've got the "HMM. IRENE LIKES"row.
And on top we've got the "HEAVEN"
LtR,UtD:
(McDonalds)Icecream, Money, Forks (Which moron invented knifes, spoons and etiquettes? Forks are all you need, folks...), (Givenchy)FASHION, Internet.
Autumn, (Frida Kahlo)Art, Chinese Food, Tea, Pancakes, (Eatable)Apples, Nailpolish.
Wet leafs (Who invented that, it feels so gross on your skin), (Sushi)Fish: My tummy can't handle fish, People-Who-Use-Basic-Smileys, Caterpillars (I mean: What use do they have, they are weird. If there would be a school for insects, the caterpillar got bullied. Of course I know it turns into a butterfly, but couldn't the butterfly skip the entire caterpillar-being?), Perfume (Most people wear too much of it), Andy Warhol (Of course I understand he was/is very important for art, but I think he's doing what I'm doing: Using pictures that do already excist and editing them, and he was calling it 'art'), Nailpolishremover (Put it on your skin: IT BURNS!!!), English liquorice.
School (No explenations needed), Maths (Oh, miracle!), Lipgloss (It feels like there's bad pudding stuck to your lips), ASPERGES (The taste, the smell, the structure, the colour!), (HipHop)Caps, Alarm clocks (Especially at 07:05), Bright colours, Twitter (I mean, can you say what you want in 140 symbols? No way.)
If you read all of that, I love you.

Today's WOO.
It's actually getting hard enough to use a skirt as a top.

I Hate Titles...

I never know a good one.
Today, I'll post Thursday and Friday, 'cause yesterday (Thursday) I posted Wednesday. Haha.

An outfit. Miu Miu Fall'11 + Givenchy Fall"11 + Versace Summer"11.
And that in a sort of orange(as requested)ish yellow pattern.
New model too.

Cobra

I love the kind of oriental sexy glam 70's that was on the catwalks for spring.

Weddingplanner

Appears to be one ot the coolest jobs ever.
The bride would look like Natalia, the groom like Bastiaan.

Total costs: €10.916,00.
Bastiaan (Metal Magazine): Suit: Givenchy, Shirt: Umit Benan, Shoes: Marc Jacobs, Sunglasses: Balmain, Ring: Giles.
Total costs: €2.081,00
The song they would dance on: Vivali - Winter.

Hmm, Bastiaan looks a little bit like Man In Black. But he's still hot.

The Green Is Cool

I know PFW isn't finished yet, but I already made a favorites collage.
Turned out to be this:

Clockwise: My #2 Collection this season I think. Panthers and violets, Love that combination. (Not that you can see that in my favorite look, but whatever. The green is cool.)
I NEED AN AWESOME HAIR-ACCESOIRY!
Need too-cool-to-touch loafers.
Need too-grown-up-to-touch heels.
Balmain's perfect jeweled jumper/sweater. The cosiest piece of clothing meets the most glamourous look.
It's weird, I do maybe think this season's Chanel show is in my top 10, or even top 7 or 5 of this seasons shows. I love the moodier Chanel shows. And these boots are F to-the-you-get-it awesome.
You can't see the image anymore, cause it's hidden behind Hanne Gaby and the Chanel shoe, but it's a fabulous clutch.
I need to combine a colourblock-skirt with a wool sweater/jumper.

Now it's getting summer I want winter clothes.
Looking forward to McQueen.

Blasphemy

Today I made a high-fashion versus streetstyle thingy again.
Take a look and think out loud: "OMG."
With streetstyle total not even close to the high-fashion average, I think those high-fashion things should have a quality that should get through a nucleair war.

Some prices aren't completely correct, because they were USD or EP.

Balletic

Givenchy HC inspired top.
Felder Felder fw10/11 (?) inspired skirt.
And I made a new model, a mix of Asian and African, because all my other models were pale, white figures.
The hair is hilarious (':

Minimalism.

Minimalism stays this season, so I decided I had to create an outfit out of a jumper/cardigan, sandalettes and statement jewelery. This is the result.

Cardigan, shoes, bracelet (Or is this one called 'cuff'?)
Think I've got an obsession with the shoes. Perfect, no heel, black, leather, Straps, Buckles.

Thursday, December 23

Around you.

Bracelets. I always forget to put them on.

Came up with the nutty (and probably already existing) idea of a bracelet, in which you can put little pictures to create your own kind of charmbracelet without charms.
Only €38 because it's half-silver and you have to find images yourself :P

Other, REALLY cool bracelets:

Marni jewelery is just sooo pretty *drools*

Too awesome and mature to be real. I think if I touch them they'll disapear to outer space, where they came from.

Those diffrent kinds of lizard/snake-skin. This would even look cool on a wedding.

My price's the best, the other designs are MUCH better (':

Sunday, December 12

I want to ride my bicycle.

Last night I decided to create the outfit of one of my posts. It turned out this way:

Total of €4578,57.
DEAR GOD! THAT'S CRIMINAL!
Do you like it?

Monday, December 6

Give me cash.

Givenchy via Luisaviaroma. Givenchy can do no wrong, can only make brilliant clothing.
I would wear this with a leather jacket (If I win a million I'll also buy a Rick Owens or Burberry leather jacket.), perfect jeans, awesome boots.
