Leather, Nutella and a new header.

Another 'NEED!' this fall: Leather, and particularly a leather skirt.
Tomboy-vintage-y on the left, Buisiness-ladylike on the right.

I'll just type the recipe here.
Makes 8-10 Cake Roll Lady Finger Nutella Muffins.
  • 3 Eggs
  • 65g Sugar
  • 80g Cake flour
  • 20g Butter, melted
  • 40g Nutella
  • 9 30g Melted chocolate
  • 2-3 Drops vanilla extract
  • 35-50 lady fingers
  • 30-100g melted chocolate
  • Whipped cream

The cake
Sift cake flour and put baking parchment on a baking tray, ±25x30cm (Or even better; a Swiss roll tray).
Mix eggs and sugar for 7-10mins, make sure there are no air-bubbles in it anymore.
Add baking powder in three separate additions, use a spatula. Don’t deflate the batter.
Add melted butter and vanilla extract, fold with the spatula until it’s well blended.
Bake for 10-15mins, make sure the batter won’t get too dry. Use a skewer to check if the cake is done. If it comes out clean, your cake is good.
Remove the sponge cake from the tray, keep the parchment underneath the cake.
Cover the sponge cake with a towel or a plastic bag to keep it moist and let it cool down.
Remove the parchment and put the cake on a new parchment, putting the side with the ‘crust’ down. Spread with 40gNutella, or 30gmelted chocolate.
Roll the cake by lifting up the parchment, Place the rolled cake seam-side down.

The lay-out. (You can also buy a ready-to-eat cake roll and save tons of time.)
Slice the cake in pieces of ±3cm. And put one of them on a clean piece of baking parchment.
Melt the chocolate and dip ½ of the lady fingers in it. Use the rest of the melted chocolate to spread the outside of the cake roll and place the lady fingers against it.
Use a spatula to remove the cake with the lady fingers from the parchment, so the chocolate spill that comes dripping underneath the lady fingers won’t come with the cake. Serve with Whipped cream, ice cream or leftover melted chocolate on top.

And for the banner, I used:
A: Camilla Skovgaard heels, Miu Miu boots, Cutler and Gross glasses, Nixon watch.
D: Givenchy heels, Marni broche, Isabel Marant feather earrings, Monica Vinader earrings.
H: Miu Miu belt, Alexander Wang boots, YSL earrings, Tory Burch flats.

I hope you like it.

Back and On Track.

I developped a sudden adoration for the fall collections. The magazines, the advertorials, new models, new clothes.

So when I came home early from vacation I went online and searched the 'New This Week'-thingies on my favorite online-shops, Net-a-porter and Mytheresa.
And these are the clothes I need. (Well, I'm going to try to find look-a-likes, as you could have expected.)
Marni, Bally, Alexander Wang, YSL, Acne, Theyskens Theory via Net-a-porter.
3.1 Phillip Lim, Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang via Mytheresa.

This fall I might buy bourdeaux or forest-green clothes, to bring some 'color' to my black-grey-dark blue-wardrobe.

The Italian Job.

By a Dutchman.
I though I should create a pizza with diffrent ingredients, but it turned out as a normal Margerita with a diffrent base. Whatever. I did also made a gif from it.
Wikipedia's words about 'ontbijtkoek'.

Hmm, Didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. Whatever.

And to keep the fashion in my blog, wear it with these:
Monica Vinader Monica Vinader
Monica Vinander earrings via net-a-porter.
(Dutch because of the simple colours and the Dutch-sky-coloured gem in the middle, Italian because it reminds me of Fendi's 'Palazzo')
D&G D&G
D&G jeans via net-a-porter.
(Italian because, well, you know, D&G, €210,93 for jeans, arrogant chic (Which isn't an insult because i love it). Dutch because 99,99% of all Dutch woman wear denim 24/7.) And I find the colour of the denmin combine well with the colours of my mini pizza.
Etro Etro
(Italian because of the print that reminds me of cubistic stracciatella ice cream, Dutch because Dutch woman like patterns with little color.) And don't you just love the genous print? I first thought it was some kind of zig-zag, but it are rectangles!
Marni - LACKLEDER WEDGES - mytheresa.com GmbH Marni - LACKLEDER WEDGES - mytheresa.com GmbH Marni - LACKLEDER WEDGES - mytheresa.com GmbH
Marni heels via mytheresa.
(Italian because it's the color of Spaghetti-bolognaise-sauce, and it's Marni, Dutch because they're a little clog-like and have flowy lines, like water.)

Btw: Yell an ingredient at me and I'll try to make something out of it.

FAVES.

At This Moment.
Not really because of this fall's season, but more like an over-all look at the collections I've seen.

And you know my obsession for Prada, but I feel so 'normal' when I say one of the most famous brands is one of my favorites...

MY EYES!!!

I can't stand neon. Well. I like it. On others.
Nevermind.
Ming Xi's outfit:

And I went shopping with my mom this morning ♥
(Just the link, because I'm too lazy to make images, or take my own pictures of them.)

It's one of these weeks...

My head is empty. Sorry sweethearts.
All via Vogue UK
Decided to make a dramatic outfit with some of the best collections from this fall.

It's hard to find nice sunglasses in fall shows.
Same source.
I think I'll stop this weeks WOO. I'm annoyed I can't get good outfits out of it.

Taco

Tastier friend of the wrap. (In my head this seemed relevant to this post.)
A couple of days ago, VSMAGAZINELIVE posted something about Phillipe Roucou's silk crepe scarves, with prints of polaroids that had been abandoned. (My six favorites:)
AND I FRIGGING HATE THE PRICE OF €200,00!
And four prints I would love to print on scarves.

And made a picture in my head of what I would wear with it:

(S,S,B,B, Coosmiic (': )

At that time, in my pink castle...

Caroline Trentini, Elle Brasil November 2011.
Love her spoiled-brat-princess face.
Created this princess balerina outfit.

Blogger ruined the quality ):

Here Comes The Sun.

Some kind of crappy-weird drawing.
Tried to let the models 'dance' like in the Prada ss"11 campaign. But I can't dance, so I dídn't know how a body looks like when it's dancing. Haha.

Background: Shirt Prada, Skirt Prada.

My Day Today

Hmm, Forget the title, I'm not feeling great today.
I'll post what I did today.

\
Images by Vogue UK, Compilation by me.
Drooling over Pugh's new collection.
OMG. HE USED COLOUR. (Photos of this phenomenom not included, I feel a little awkard to Pugh using colors.) BLUE NAILS. AWESOME EYEPATCH-THINGS-MAKE-UP. KIND-OF-AMERICAN-PRO-BOZER-MEETS-ARABIAN-DESERT-MAN-MEETS-LADY-GAGA. AND THOSE BLACK STRAPPY BOOTS. And all of that in capital letters.

Drooling over this piece of look 6 from the Marni fw11/12 collection.
I wish the skirt was black-white instead of white-black. I tried to do so with editing the picture, but it looks weird. (': (I was the one who wrote 'Marni' in a weird handwriting.) images by Vogue UK.

Drooling over today's Daily Duo: Swanny Visser.
Dutch. Again.
I don't know if I like her or lover her. She looks bright and sweet and French in some way.

Drooling over this photo.

Looking this pretty and inspiring when you're making that face is mesmerizing.

Coco at the Mugler show. (With Gaga. Omg.)
There were 'wow'-looks, but also a lot of 'ehrmm....'-looks.

Drawing a weird outfit.
Ruffle-bottom-top with half-sheer arms. (Inspired by Jil Sander ss"11/Miu Miu fw"11/12)
Weird striped shorts.
Visible seem pantyhose.
Plexiglass bangles & Brooches.

My Valentine

EMMA COOK.
Dear God, today I saw her on net-a-porter's 'what's new' as a 'new this season'
I TOTALLY LOVE IT.
It's like Marni meets Proenza Schouler meets McQueen and that's like OMGAMAZINGCANTTAKEMYEYESOFF.

Flowerchild

Wanted to do something spring-y.
Never thought I would like something of JC this much. But I have to say: I adore this bracelet.
I think I've got addicted to making outfits this way. (:

Camping

Hmm. In my head and in RL this outfit looked cool. When I drew it it looked weird and cheap.
I wanted to do an off-duty-model-like-look.
I guess it has something to do with the skirt.

No Sun Yet.

Prada: Too kinky/quirky/funny/stylish/daring to be ugly. Only a genious can come up with these.
Victoria Beckham: Actors/singers turned designers mostly turn out to be awfull. (Well, I don't like her body-con-dresses, but I love those bags.)
Marni (Resort): Marni is always amazing when it comes to glasses and jewelery. No exceptions.
Fendi: First I hated these sunglasses because of the teinted glass. Now I grew up and saw the philosophy behind it. (Yeah, dude...)
Jill Sander: Little frame, big glasses and a bright colour that actually doesn't look childish.
Jenni Kayne: Too cool and casual to be casual and cool.

Marni Sale

Okay, long time no post:
Wednesday: No time.
Thursday: Too lazy.
Friday: No time + Sleepover
Saturday: Too lazy
Sunday/Tuesday: ill. (I don't like a capital i in front of a small L)

Marni Sale. Yeey.
The pricetags are still ludicrous, but I love to pretend it's 'Sale-and-cheap!!!'
Who am I kidding?

My favourites. (Yes I know, one thing isnt on sale, but whatever, for Marni-prices it's still cheap.
Why did I copy the colours to? Look at them and raise your eyebrow.
Zement??? Old Lace??? Dárk Antracite??? (Where's the light one?) Inox??? Sage??? Ultramarine??? (Ultra, like in a hero?)

Still way too expensice, but still pretty (:

Polyvore

I've never understood polyvore. All the items I liked were cutted ugly.
Can somebody explain to me how to embed? =.='

The Perfect Christmas Card.

All rights by fabulous Marni.

This is why I love, love, LOVE this brand. I love the fibes (Fibes? haha!) of the wrinkled paper and the non-luxyrious-paper-tree-made-luxurious-'cause-of-all-the-colours. Hum. Long word.

Around you.

Bracelets. I always forget to put them on.

Came up with the nutty (and probably already existing) idea of a bracelet, in which you can put little pictures to create your own kind of charmbracelet without charms.
Only €38 because it's half-silver and you have to find images yourself :P

Other, REALLY cool bracelets:

Marni jewelery is just sooo pretty *drools*

Both Givenchy. Source
Too awesome and mature to be real. I think if I touch them they'll disapear to outer space, where they came from.

Those diffrent kinds of lizard/snake-skin. This would even look cool on a wedding.

My price's the best, the other designs are MUCH better (':
